Perugia, with its remarkable role in art history, has long been among the favorite tourist destinations for those interested in the humanities. It was after all in Città della Pieve, located near Perugia, where Perugino, Raphael’s teacher, was born. It was also in Perugia where Raphael, the famous renaissance artist, produced amazing paintings. For those who wish to travel to this wondrous place, services of car hire in Perugia would be best only if you wish to travel into or out of the city.

If you don’t want heavy traffic, the best thing would be to travel on foot to get to the city’s majestic medieval center, the Centro Storico. And another important thing to keep in mind if you avail of car hire in Perugia is the fact that the city center is sometimes closed to traffic. If you’re in Perugia with your family, it would be best to consult the daily traffic schedule before you attempt to drive to the city’s medieval center with a car.
